April 2024 Release Notes



Overview


We are happy to introduce over 20 exciting new features and 5 new integrations to the Lootly platform in our April 2024 release notes. This release is a bit larger than usual, since we transitioned to doing quarterly email releases in 2024 which go over all the new items that have been released.

  1. Major New Features


Tremendous Integration 


Our new integration with Tremendous will allow you to award a gift card to customers who refer their friends to buy from your store. Tremendous offers over 100 gift card options from major brands including: Visa, Amazon, and iTunes. This process is fully automated, and best of all - Tremendous is a free solution. Simply create an account, set up a billing method, and connect your campaign into Lootly.

Shopify Flow Integration 


We’ve noticed over the past 6 years that loyalty programs have increased in complexity both from a customer’s perspective, due to the number of options, but also to the brand operators who are constantly looking for ways to improve retention, and revenue. Shopify Flow is a free tool for Shopify & Shopify Plus brands, who want to build out a custom workflow of options with the ultimate goal of giving points in Lootly for performing an action. 




Let’s say for example, you want to give a customer points after they’ve made 5 purchases from a certain category OR if they spend over $200 on their 3rd purchase. By utilizing Shopify Flow, you can build out your own custom logic workflows in a few minutes, and then connect to Lootly to give points for that action. Lootly will fully track all actions in reporting, giving you a complete overview of how your flows are performing. 


Shopify Flow will be launching on April 12. 




Reward Page - Group free products by points tier


We are excited to announce a major update to our Rewards Page, which allows you to group free products by their points value - giving customers an easy way to see what is available to them. Now you can define unique point tiers such as (100 - 500 points, and 501 - 800 points) and Lootly will automatically group your free products under each tier. 




This is only available on our latest Reward Page V2, which was introduced in 2022. If you’re on a legacy version, we strongly recommend updating to gain access to new design options, user logged-in functionality and better analytics.

Referral Receiver Reports


We’ve overhauled our Referral Reports to now include how long it takes customers on average to redeem their rewards, and also a breakdown on each individual customer. These insights can help you understand if the program is being promoted adequately and also if the reward itself may need to be tweaked to maximize excitement. 




This new report can be accessed by going to: Reports > Referrals > (select new dropdown at the top). 



  1. Rewards Page


Over the last few months, we’ve overhauled our Rewards Page to include new sections, design customization, improved functionality, and performance enhancements. This release also includes a major feature for the free products points grouping. Below are all the new features & improvements now available for our Rewards Page V2: 


  • Added the ability for the header buttons to anchor down to a custom section on click. 


  • Added the ability to set different font options for the Header Title & Subtitle


  • Added a 2nd button to the header section when logged-in. 


  • Added the ability for sections to not display unless logged-in, such as referrals (advanced option).


  • Added new color picker and text customization to the Header and My Rewards section.


  • Added new text field customization options to the Referrals section. 


  • Added a new button to the VIP Tier section if Paid Memberships are enabled, encouraging customers to purchase a paid option (enable under VIP Tier > Paid Membership).


  • Added a new section called “Disclaimer” for terms & conditions related information. 


  • Added the ability to view the Logged-In or Logged-Out state of the Rewards Page via dropdown at the top. 


  • Updated the “Copy Coupon” button to now show unique text when the button is clicked. 


  • Updated the default event text for the “Referrals” section to match the widget.


  • Updated the “FAQ” section text boxes to now have full text editor support for links. 




  1. Email Notifications 


  • Added a new email notification type called “Receiver Reminder Email” - This email will automatically email the receiver if they do not use their reward within # days. You can customize the # of days for the email to send.


  • Updated all email notifications to allow the logo alignment to be changed (default: center)


  • Updated all Referral email notifications to now have the option to be disabled.



  1. New Integrations

  • Added Tremendous - offer gift cards as a referral sender reward option. View support guide


  • Added Shopify Flow - automate workflows and set up custom actions for earning points.


  • Added Yotpo Reviews - give points when customers write a product review. View support guide



  • Added Dotdigital - push customer data points such as points balance and birthday for email segmentation. View support guide



  1. Customers


  • Added new column to the customer export file to now include “last_purchase”


  • Updated the “Customer Segments” tool for additional data points, and performance. 



  1. User Access


[Enterprise-Plan Only] - We’ve added support for SAML-Based single sign-on (SSO) via Azure AD. Other SAML-Based options are available depending on your employee user access requirements. Please reach out to your account manager to enable this for your account.
